What a fabulous B&B. From the greeting and welcome from Angus the spaniel to the most wonderful breakfast, to the bowl of water provided to locate and mend our bicycle puncture, everything provided by Jon and Maria at Braeswick was wonderful. They made no hesitation to accept our request to hold onto our luggage all day so we could cycle round the Island, lightly, before the evening ferry. Fabulous.

  Great location on this beautiful Orkney island with truly amazing views.
Clean and comfortable bedroom. You can watch the seals play in the inlet below from your bedroom window. Sometimes yo can see the Northern Lights in the evening. Friendly managers and excellent breakfast.

  Great place to stay and a special ending
Very well placed for seeing all of Sanday - a beautiful island. A lovely comfortable room, great bedding and excellent shower. Our hosts were extremely helpful in providing home cooked food to order and suggesting spots to visit. Best of all is the great view from the sitting room/ dining room over the sea (and we were also lucky to have the same view from our bedroom). Jon kindly asks if guests want to be woken if the Northern lights put in an appearance at night and we were delighted to be woken on our last night to the most stunning display right outside the dining room across the bay. Had never seen it before and it was a fab treat. Thank you to Jon and Maria for a great stay.

  Right spot, Great Breakfast
Great Room, Great Breakfasts and a very attentive host. Jon was great. Centrally located for all my day trips, quiet evenings for a good sleep. Very clean and well cared for. Angus(dog) is also very well behaved.

  Very comfortable stay!
Rooms were comfortable, breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the hosts were very nice. B&B is also conveniently located close to the ferry, with a bus available to take you to whatever part of the island you'd like to visit.   Atemberaubende Landschaft mit tollem Gastgeber
John und Maria haben uns sehr freundlich und herzlich empfangen beim Frühstück jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Der Blick aus dem Frühstücksraum über zwei Buchten das Meer, und das Land ist einfach atemberaubend. Die Zimmer sind perfekt sauber und ansprechend gestaltet. Das Bad ist wunderbar und der Wasserdruck in der Dusche ist bemerkenswert hoch John steht jederzeit für seine Gäste bereit, ist zurückhaltend, aber erfüllt jeden Wunsch und unterhält sich gern mit den Gästen

  A little gem on amazing Sanday
I can’t recommend Braeswick highly enough Breakfast was one of the best we had in Scotland. Our host was friendly and informative, nothing was too much trouble. The bed was super comfortable. Every holiday has highlights and Braeswick was definitely one in our month long travels through Scotland. Oh, and the view from the lounge was perfect. Thank you
